Can you please clarify on this; If 485 is not current at the time of H1 extension and if 140 is approved should get 3 year extension. How does applying for AP change this? Do you mean using AP when traveling or mere applying of

No, EB3 ROW can use all the available EB3 ROW numbers. But the unused EB2 (ROW/Mex/Phil) have been distributed to the oversubscribed countries.

That's how I interpret that.

The popular belief was that the unused EB2 ROW would first go EB3 ROW but according to this they actually go to the oversubscribed countries in the same category (EB2)
If EB2 quota stays at EB-2 and EB-1 quota goes to EB-2 if unused. That really benefits EB-2 India/China and will hurt all the EB-3 filer. I can see many EB-3 filer, no matter they are China/India/RoW may want to interfile and upgrade to EB-2. I wonder if USCIS do this in purpose to make extra revenue? If there are 30% of EB-3 filer try to file EB-2 again, USCIS can really make some bucks out. :eek:

Well, I used the pen tool and the circle shape tools (its a lot easier that way because you can drag the circle out from the center.. and you can find the center easily by using guides :) ) and they worked pretty good for me...

The response is expected. Unless IV core members support nothing will move. Many similar threads came and go in past. IV is giving critical updates only to Donor members. So only donor members will know what is happening. Others will not know anything and will not have any direction. That may be one of the reason for poor response for these kinds of polls. This is how I used my EAD. I filed 485/EAD/AP in July 2007. I did not do anything till Feb-2008. I made a call to my employer in Feb-2008 (6 months after I-485) and asked him to give me a raise. He was aware of the fact that I can use AC-21 and leave anytime. We renegotiated everything, this time heavily in my favor (for a change). I got 20% salary hike effective from that very day. I kept same employer, same job, same client but used EAD and AC-21 to put pressure on my employer. Needless to say, in the past, I have been on the receiving side of the pressure from employers because of H1-B too.

My suggestion - You can not play safe your whole life.



After an extensive research on internet about all this I will expose my case to hear your opinion.

I'm on my EAD second renewal now, Have approved I-140 and my PD is Dec 16/2006. Si according to waht you say I can walk away changing emplyers and get another job or either a part time job???

My current attorney wont give me any advices because she says is against the law because she represents my employer and me so she recomends to look for another attorney.

Since I have an EAD my wife was able to work and things turned better but this year with the economic situation and a baby I'm about 5k short and I'm being very careful and looking for a wild card just in case.. Someone told me I can get another H1B and start over even If I have passed the 6 years of H1B.

Any thoughts?

Did you consider using "atlas america" and other bunch of travel insurance that advertise themselves as PPO? I am wondering if anyone has expericence dealing with them regarding claims. I purchased that recently for my parents since it had 100/0 or 90/10 coverage.

Anyone has experience going to hospital using these insurance?

Hi I am a physician in Oregon and my parents are visiting too in July. I called Kaiser regarding this, and this is what I was told.
1. they can get insurance since Kaiser does not need an SSN for the application.
2. Every Plan has a deductible $, an out of pocket maximum $, and a co-insurance $ amount.

So,
Plan A: Deductible 2500, Co-insurance 22% of all inpatient cost upto max of $22,000.
Plan B: Deductible 6000, Co-insurance 50% of all inpatient cost upto max of $50,000.
Essentially none of these plans are a 'good deal'. But remember its easier to pay back a loan of 22k - 50k than to pay back 100-200k.
Also since Kaiser is an HMO, and has its own facilities in the west coast and Hawaii, 'accepting insurance' is not a problem.
